What happens at the Victory Media AGM… gets recapped in this blog post.
It’s not very often that the entire Victory Media team is in the same place at the same time, but once every year—our very favourite time of year—we make it happen. The Victory Media AGM is part family reunion, part brainstorming session, and we always come back to work feeling refreshed, inspired, and ready to face new challenges.
This year, we chose Bodega Ridge on Galiano Island, British Columbia as the setting for our meeting. Picture seven adorably beautiful log cabins on 22 acres of rural countryside, surrounded by picturesque views, walking trails, and fresh, island air; it would be hard not to feel inspired here. We moved in for the weekend and promptly debated permanent relocation, but settled on using their beautiful facilities and meeting rooms as the backdrop for our meetings, brainstorming sessions, giggle-fests, and healthy, delicious meals prepared by Rebecca Douglas Nutrition Consulting.
The topics of discussion? Everything from improving workflow processes and policies at Victory to client strategies, industry trends, and what inspires us most. We spent a lot of time dreaming and goal-setting, discussing what we want for our team, and how we can help our clients achieve an even higher level of success.
After three invigorating days at Bodega Ridge, it was time to catch the Ferry back to the mainland. It was hard to leave our newfound oasis behind, but we knew we had an exciting day ahead of us at Project Skin MD in Vancouver. It’s always a treat to catch up with their amazing team, but this time we had Express Facials scheduled in their gorgeous PS Glow Room; the perfect self-care (something we discussed at length over the previous 3 days) cherry-on-top of a weekend well-spent.
Thanks to the team at Project Skin MD, we were more than ready for our close-up. Good thing, because the last item on our agenda was a photoshoot with Jen Steele Photography at WerkLab. At Victory, we’re big proponents of custom photography; and we definitely take our own advice. We regularly schedule photoshoots, especially when the whole team is together. This ensures that we have custom content to use on all our channels and in all our marketing materials going forward.
And just like that, our AGM was over. Since then, we’ve started implementing many of the strategies discussed, and we’re already achieving some of the big goals we set for ourselves as a team. The biggest takeaway by far? We love this company. We love our team. We love the people we get to work with every single day. And we’re going to keep working together to make Victory the very best it can be.
