Welcome back to “The women who rule”, a Victory Blog series that gives you, our loyal readers, the chance to get to know the women that make up the Victory Media team. From their day-to-day, to their hopes, dreams, and skincare routines.
Today, meet Victory’s Senior Graphic Designer, Kelcey Hamilton. Mom to Brady (with another lucky babe on the way!), this creative firecracker is the gal behind many of our gorgeous graphics and designs. Kelcey’s aesthetic helped to establish Victory’s signature style, and she now leads and inspires our design team daily. She may be little, but our girl sure does have big talent, and an even bigger (if you can believe it) heart.

1. How would you describe your role at VICTORY?
As a graphic designer I’m responsible for creating visual concepts to captivate and inspire our clients’ audience. It’s crucial that I always stick to each individual brand and produce designs that reflect them. If a piece is getting the message out clearly and is beautiful, then I did my job.
2. Walk us through a day in the life of Kelcey.
Right now we are in a little bit of a transition stage. I’m back to work full time and our first babe is off to daycare. My husband and I alternate mornings of going to the gym or waking up with Brady. Either way, coffee first.
I’m a morning person so I like to get started on my projects early when I’m fresh. I also feel like it gives me a head start. My husband works close to home so we’re able to have lunch together every day, which is a real treat when you work alone all day! If I feel like I’ve been staring at my computer for too long or I’m stuck for an idea, I take the dog for a walk and I always feel refreshed and inspired afterwards.
3. Tell us your favourite, and least favourite, thing about working from home.
My most favourite thing about working from home is how comfortable you can be. It really makes your mornings so much more relaxed. The 10 second commute doesn’t hurt either.
My least favourite part is working alone. Even though we are in communication all day you lack that human contact. Considering we are all remote, we still have developed quite a camaraderie
4. How would you describe the aesthetic marketing industry to someone who’s new to this world?
From the perspective of a designer, I can tell you that this industry is SO visual. Patients are making decisions about aesthetic treatments or plastic surgery procedures, and they want to identify with the design pieces we create. If an ad, a poster, or a social media graphic I’ve designed resonates with a patient and helps them to make an informed treatment decision, I’m a happy camper.
5. Favourite social media network?
Instagram… you’d think we’re being sponsored by them!?
6. What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
“Discover and embrace your own creative style.” Branding guides allow us to stay between the lines and create artwork that is safe and polished. When there is a need for a strong design piece and something that is really going to grab attention, that’s where your own personal flare comes in handy. It’s a matter of learning to balance the two.
7. What’s on your bucket list?
My bucket list has somewhat changed since I’ve become a mom. I still want to travel to all the same places, but I also want to see those places through my children’s eyes too. Europe will always have a big place in my heart and I still have lots of exploring to do other there. I do plan to go back to Italy one day, in my stretchy pants, and eat my way through the country.

8. Share some of your favourite local hot spots.
Brighton is a small town, so my choices are limited. If you venture a little from where I am you’ll find the most quaint little Italian restaurant called Trattoria Gusto. Seriously so good. I recommend… everything.
When I’m in the mood for something sweet, I would have to say Doohers Bakery. Their honey dip donut is a little taste of heaven. Totally worth the 5 million calories. And the pregnancy cravings have kicked in.
9. Current Netflix addiction?
Manhunt: Unabomber. I need to stop watching it right before bed though.
10. What’s your skincare routine?
Considering I’ve been pregnant a lot lately, I’ve had to switch to a much more gentle product. I’ve found that Kiehls agrees with my skin. I love their cucumber toner and their Ultra Facial Cream (which includes SPF). I’m a big fan of the Clarisonic as well. I don’t think I truly washed my face until I used one! As old school as it is, I really like virgin argan oil too. I carry one with me at all times. Whenever I feel like my skin is a little dry, or even my hair, I just dab a little of it on.
